Catch up

Last weekend I was away and got plenty of walking around but no organized exercise. Then I came back and was out of commission for a few days not feeling well. I finally got back on track yesterday, so here I am. I was down about not having any running to report, thus the lack of posts. It was great to see Mom and Dave posting about their progress though. You guys kept me inspired!

Thursday Exercise:
50 min walking
32 min run (3 miles) on the Rail Trail

It was Matt and Maureen and I running, and we did two sets of a sprinting exercise where you run in a single-file line and the person at the end sprints up to get in the front, repeat, repeat, etc. It made the distance whiz by! I still don't think I was quite recovered though, as by the last set I was feeling slightly nauseous on the sprints. I'm still pleased with my time overall though.

Thursday Food:
1646 Calories (17% Fat; 69% Carb; 16% Protein)
I think that's actually not quite enough fat, but otherwise I feel good about my eating for the past few days. I've remembered how much I like ground turkey in its various incarnations: meatloaf, burgers, sheperd's pie. I also made some gazpacho, one of my favorite way to eat raw vegetables in a virtually non-caloric way.
